SOFT SKILL: Gratitude dividends ๐Ÿ™

December 19, 2022

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it, is like wrapping a present and not giving it. William Arthur Ward

Your brain ๐Ÿง  actually changes with emotional impact.

  • Forgiveness. ๐Ÿ™
  • Gratitude.
  • Positive emotions. โž•

Literally, it changes brain chemistry ๐Ÿงช. Neuroscience is showing they are physically good ๐Ÿ‘ for you. Conversely, those below generate negative ๐Ÿ‘Ž brain chemicalsโ˜ฃ๏ธ:

  • Anger ๐Ÿ’ข
  • Regret
  • Sadness ๐Ÿ˜ข
  • Unforgiveness
  • Lack of gratitude.๐Ÿ˜‘

We simply don't โŒ want to go there.

Let's speak of the benefits ๐ŸŽ of Gratitude:

  1. Gratitude is going to increase ๐Ÿ“ˆ the sense of self-esteem.
  2. It's going to make you healthier ๐Ÿง‘โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘.
  3. It's going to lower ๐Ÿ“‰๐Ÿ˜ฐ your stress level because now you're focused on the good stuff instead of all of those fears. Without all of those negative emotions, you become better connected ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.
  4. You sleep better ๐Ÿ˜ด.
  5. Your relationships get a lot stronger ๐Ÿ’ช a lot better. People like to be with someone who's grateful, who feels good to be around, who's nurturing, and who's appreciative.
  6. You're going to be much more likable and your performance ๐ŸŽ๏ธ is going to go up dramatically. So when we become grateful for the big things, we get dividends emotionally. You're happier you get dividends socially.
  7. Your relationships go up, your conflict goes down. Things get a little bit easier ๐Ÿ˜.
  8. Your career gets stronger ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿ’ผ.
  9. You're going to be a better leader, a better decision-maker, more relaxed ๐Ÿง˜, and more able to deal with information.
  10. Your health is going to get dramatically better when you're healthy.
  11. And last but not least, your personality becomes something that you're going to be more satisfied with. Your self-esteem is going to go up you'll be more optimistic and a little bit less materialistic as well.
