But then someone has to clean it up:
▪️ remove duplicated logic
▪️ fix weak architecture
▪️ rename confusing things
▪️ add missing tests
▪️ make the code readable again
▪️ turn “it works” into “it is maintainable”
So here is the question:
Is “Vibe Coding Cleanup Specialist” a real future job title… or just another funny buzzword? 😄
My take on the options:
✅ Yes, real job
Because AI-generated code will still need human review, refactoring, testing, and design judgment.
🥣 No, buzzword soup
Because maybe this is just normal software engineering with a trendy AI label on top.
🔧 Call it refactoring
Because cleaning code, improving structure, and reducing complexity already have a name.
🤷♂️ It depends
Because in some teams it may become a real responsibility, but probably not a serious title on a contract.
As Martin Fowler said:
“Any fool can write code that a computer can understand. Good programmers write code that humans can understand.”
Maybe the next valuable skill is not only prompting AI to write code…
…but knowing how to clean the mess after the vibe. 🧠
