Constructive feedback helps team members.
It is a way to let people know how effective they are.
It can be about positive or negative behavior.

Some guidelines:

  1. Consider the potential value of the feedback.
  2. Too much feedback can overload people.
  3. Control your emotions.
  4. Focus on behavior that is under the control of a person.
  5. Be descriptive rather than evaluative.
  6. Keep the message simple.
  7. Allow the receiver to reach his/her own conclusions.
