📊POLL: What’s the BEST perk of an online tech conference? NO_TRAVEL/ CHEAP/ REPLAY/ DEPENDS

I’m going to AI Native Dev Conference soon (Check it out & register here: https://bit.ly/4neZWde), and they also offer an online format.
It made me wonder: what do you see as the biggest advantage of attending a conference online? 👇
🔹 No travel, no commute ✈️💻
Less time in airports and trains, more time learning (and maybe coding). No visas, no hotel booking stress, and you can join from your favorite chair.
🔹 Cheaper ticket & expenses 💸
Online passes are often cheaper, and you also save on flights, hotels, restaurants… Great if you pay out of pocket or if your training budget is tight.
🔹 Replay sessions on-demand 🎥
You can pause, rewind, and rewatch the best talks. Perfect if you want to take detailed notes, or if multiple great sessions happen at the same time.
🔹 It depends 🤷.
Sometimes the hallway track, random coffee chats, and live energy of an in-person event are unbeatable. Maybe the right format depends on your goals, your company, or even your current season of life.
“Learning the art of programming, like most other disciplines, consists of first learning the rules and then learning when to break them.”
— Joshua Bloch, Effective Java Goodreads
Online vs in-person is a bit like that: once you know the “rules” of both formats, you can decide which one to “break” for each event. 😉
What about you? Vote and tell me why in the comments!
