POLL: How do you dress for interviews, dear developers... SUIT/ SHIRT/ T-SHIRT/ DEPENDS

· workplace,poll

When you're heading to a tech job interview, how you dress might seem secondary — but it still sends a message.

Here are a few tips based on my experience:

🎯 Know your audience
Startups may be fine with T-shirts. Corporate roles? A shirt or blazer might be safer. Research the company culture first.

👟 Be comfortable, but clean
If you're not used to suits, don’t force it. But make sure your clothes are tidy and appropriate. Confidence often comes from feeling like yourself.

📸 Remote? Dress the part anyway (professionally)
Even if it's on Zoom, your top half is visible. Dress like it’s in-person — it helps get into the interview mindset.

🧩 When in doubt, go smart casual
You rarely go wrong with a nice shirt and chinos or a clean sweater. It shows effort without being over the top.

🗳️ Now it’s your turn — vote in the poll and share your tips!
