I just finished the book "The Clean Coder" by Robert C. Martin AKA Uncle Bob.
The book's tagline is "A code of conduct for professional programmers".
It is easy to read and relevant to conscientious programmers.
I will share with you a definition from the book about craftsmen:
"A craftsman is someone who works quickly, but without rushing,
who provides reasonable estimates and meets commitments.
A craftsman is a professional."
In my opinion, that's the ideal path for many developers.
